A Vision nutured in 2000 & Launched in 2007 in Reutlingen, Germany
The Afrika Festival Reutlingen, held annually in Tübingen, Germany, is one of the largest and most significant African cultural and business events in Europe. A vision nurtured 2ooo by Susan Tatah, was officially launched in Reutlingen City in August 10 -12, 2007 with its first edition bringing together 7.000 visitors, attendees who came to celebrate African culture through music, dance, art, food, and various cultural exhibitions. Since the the festivals serves as a platform for African and diaspora communities to showcase their heritage and engage in cultural exchange with a diverse international audience.
The festival Reutlingen features live performances by African artists, workshops, panel discussions, and a marketplace offering African crafts, fashion, and cuisine. Each year, the festival highlights a specific African country, with the 2015 edition focusing on Cameroon, which was the biggest in the series so far, Over the years, the festival has grown in size and influence, attracting attendees from across Germany, Europe, and beyond.
